At Mawdsleys, we are extremely proud of our fully equipped motor rewind and repair facility which features machine, winding and balancing departments, a state of the art test area, spray booth, wash down station, and secure stock area.
Our inhouse facility enables us to offer a more efficient service with a faster turnaround on jobs and more competitive pricing for customers across the UK.
Over the Christmas and New Year period, our workshop underwent a refurbishment, with the factory floor given a repaint and walkways added throughout the facility.
The new paint and markings will help improve organisation and safety within the workshop, whilst also helping to support social distancing for staff. The refurbishment was undertaken by Gentip Services.
To improve safety within the workshop, walkways were added throughout. These walkways give our engineers routes to move around the workshop safely and quickly, with crossing points to enable them to get around the entire facility.
The walkways also enable forklifts to move around the workshop freely with lower risk of obstructions whilst retaining access to the pallet racking systems as required.
All of the walkways were creating using industrial paint to withstand the day to day traffic within the workshop.
With health and safety precautions in place throughout the business as a result of COVID-19, the new walkways also ensure that staff can better adhere to social distancing rules.
In addition to improving safety for engineers and forklift operators, the walkways will also improve organisation
After a busy year of wear and tear from footfall and machinery in the workshop, the floor was in need of a fresh coat of paint.
The paint used is designed with industrial premises in mind, providing a safe and durable surface to walk on which will last for many years to come.
