At Mawdsleys, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting local initiatives. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of local football team Olveston United.

Olveston United was founded in 1926 and is a football club that has played an integral role in promoting the beautiful game within the local community for nearly a century.

Peter Woodward, Managing Director of Mawdsleys attended a recent game where Olveston United faced off against St Nicholas FC, the game was highly competitive and ended 3-3.

Thanks to our sponsorship, the team has brand new kits for the 2023/4 season which proudly display the Mawdsley’s logo.

Get Involved at Olveston United

Olveston United has a wide range of teams catering to players of all ages and genders. If you are interested in taking up football with the club, here is what the currently offer:

• Adult Men’s Teams – Olveston United currently fields two adult men’s teams. The first team competes in the Bristol Premier Combination League and the reserve team competes in the Bristol and District League.
• Adult Women’s Team – Not just limited to men’s football, Olveston United also boasts an adult women’s team competing in the South West Regional Women’s Football League, Northern Division.
• Youth Teams – Olveston United also has a range of youth teams which include girls under 18s, girls under 11s, boys under 16s, boys under 14s, boys under 13s, boys under 10s, boys under 9s Harts, boys under 9s Foxes, and under 8s.
